Not long after that little rain, the sky cleared and we went into what might be our favorite building in Rome - the Pantheon, with its oculus open to the sky.

And finally for this posting, a view from a minor park in Trastevere - Villa Sciara. We picked this place because it was near where we took our cooking class (see separate blog entry). The white building in the background with the chariots on top is the building all Romans love to hate - the monument to Victor Emmanuel II, the first king of a unified Italy.

The Pantheon is my favorite building in all of Rome! I love the square there, and even fantasized one evening about living in a flat in one of those buildings. (Second try... hope you didn't get this twice)
