We're at JFK now, for our five hour layover before going on to Rome. Finally seem to have figured out this wireless thing, at least for now. The section of the terminal for Alitalia (excuse me - the NEW Alitalia, as they are constantly stressing) already looks a lot like Italy, at least as far as the people. I'm hoping the strategic combination of caffeine and sleep deprivation (and Ambien) will allow us to sleep through the flight, arriving at Fiumicino/Rome around noon tomorrow local time.
(Just FWIW, apparently the times shown for these postings will be Pacific time, not the local time where we are.)
