Getting ready to go

This post is mainly to reactivate this old blog. We leave tomorrow on a nonstop flight from Seattle to Amsterdam, and then change planes to go to Venice. Unfortunately it appears that we will be taking our Seattle weather with us, as the forecast is for a lot of rain in Venice the whole time we're there. Oh, well. At least it will be Italian rain. :-)
